Dark Glass Bottle

I've got a question for all of you...

I'm new to this herbal recipe game, and I'm planning to start with making oils and tinctures...just need to get a few more supplies

Anyway, here's my question:

When a recipe says "store in a dark colored bottle", how dark are we talking? cobalt blue or amber? Or would a green bottle (like a cleaned, dry, and sterilized Perrier bottle) work just as well?

These bottles would also be stored in an awesome cabinet that has virtually no light exposure...in fact, it's hard to see in there sometimes, lol

Thanks in advance!

any of those sound like they would work - the key is the light exposure. Most tinctures I've made went into amber or cobalt bottles, but my favorite local herbologist uses the perrier bottles too :)

What type of tinc's are you making? :)

Amber would work best, and also storing it in a dark closet. Have fun!
