Garlic Paste

2 oz pork fat
3 T lard or vegetable oil
4 – 5 garlic cloves, peeled

In a food processor, chop the pork fat and garlic to a smooth paste. In
a small skillet, heat the lard or veg oil until it is hot but not
smoking, Add the garlic-fat paste, cook over low heat until barley
golden. Remove skillet from heat, and let cool to room temperature.
Garlic paste keeps for one month in refrigerator, in a jar with a
tight-fitting lid. Enjoy garlic paste with any ramen dish.

Mustards

Dijon Mustard -- Colorado Cache Cookbook (1978)
2 c Dry white wine
2 tb Honey
1 c Chopped onion
1 tb Vegetable oil
2 Cloves garlic, minced
2 ts Salt
4 oz Dry mustard
4 dr Tabasco sauce

Combine wine, onion and garlic. Heat to boiling. Lower heat and simmer
5 minutes. Pour mixture into bowl and cool. Strain wine mixture into
dry mustard in a small saucepan, beating until very smooth. Add
remaining ingredients. Heat slowly, stirring constantly until mixture
thickens. Cool. Pour into a non-metal container and cover. Chill at
least 2 days to blend flavors.

This beverage, very appropriate to summer observances, uses the
traditional herbs, plants, and colors of fire to ignite
transformation in your life.

2 large tomatoes
2 red peppers, bell or hot
1 teaspoon lime juice
4 cups water
2 cloves garlic
1 cup chopped red cabbage
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 liter whiskey

Finely chop all vegetables and place with other ingredients, except
whiskey, in a large pan with the water. Simmer for 2 hours over low
heat. Strain the mixture through a sieve, pressing as much juice as
possible out of the vegetables. Mix with whiskey and bottle, aging
for at least 30 days before use.

Magical Applications: Purification, drastic change, fire- and sun-
related magics.

Ingredients: 1 package spiral pasta 1 jar artichoke hearts Sliced tomatoes & mushrooms Wild Thyme seasoning to taste Boil pasta. Let cool then add sliced tomatoes, mushrooms & artichoke hearts. Mix well & add the seasoning. Let sit in the refrigerator for a few hours. Serve chilled.

"Wonderful on vegetables."

1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup finely chopped oil packed sundried tomatoes
3 Tbls. chopped fresh basil
Pinch of pepper


1. Stir together butter, sundried tomatoes, basil, pepper and crumbled Feta, until creamy.

2. Cover and refrigerate the butter for up to 1 week. Be sure to let it soften before spreading on the corn.

Yields: 1 Cup
