Ingredients:
3 oz unsweetened chocolate (love and protection)
1 stick butter
2 cups sugar (love)
3 eggs (fertility)
1 teaspoon vanilla (love and mental prowess)
1 teaspoon green food coloring (healing and abundance)
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (fertility and money)
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup sour cream (protection)
1 cup boiling water (cleansing)
Frosting Decorative candies
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Melt chocolate in small saucepan over low heat. Allow to cool. Mix butter, sugar, and eggs in bowl. Beat until fluffy. Add vanilla and chocolate. Add coloring and beat. Sift flour and baking soda into another bowl. Add to batter alternately with sour cream. Add boiling water to batter and mix. Grease and flour pans. Pour batter in and bake for 35 minutes. Cool for 15-20 minutes, then frost and decorate. Note: You can make your own icing for the cake with Butter Frosting, or buy it at the store, and dye it for something Halloween-ish. Decorating with candy corns is very cute, and you can even put a fake spider on top or something. Incidentally the cake is very moist and good, but even with the whole teaspoon of green food coloring, it is not particularly GREEN. However, it is best to mention to any group eating it that it supposed to be that odd brown-green hue.
