You will need:

- 1 pint jar with tight fitting lid
- 1/4 cup dried, coarsely ground yarrow
- a half and half mixture of grain alcohol (Everclear) and spring water.

* Place the herbs in the jar, and fill the jar to the shoulder with grain
alcohol - spring water mixture. Cover tightly.

* Store at room temperature, protected from light and heat, for 4-6 weeks.
Shake vigorously every few days.

* After 4-6 weeks strain the mixture through a clean cotton cloth in a
colander or strainer. Squeeze to remove as much liquid as possible.

* Discard the plant material and store the liquid in a dark glass bottle.
This preparation will keep at room temperature indefinitely.

* Apply to itchy areas with a cotton ball.

Here's a recipe to help us remember who we really are.
Turn off the lights and light some candles in your bathroom.
Prepare a pot of herbal tea.
Blend 3 tablespoons of dry milk powder with 3 tablespoons
of dry buttermilk powder.
Add some milk or soy milk and blend.
Add a carrier oil and your essential oils. Try -

3 drops of Rose
2 drops of Sandalwood
2 drops of Patchouli

This luxurious bath will transport you to another world!!!

I've got a question for all of you...

I'm new to this herbal recipe game, and I'm planning to start with making oils and tinctures...just need to get a few more supplies

Anyway, here's my question:

When a recipe says "store in a dark colored bottle", how dark are we talking? cobalt blue or amber? Or would a green bottle (like a cleaned, dry, and sterilized Perrier bottle) work just as well?

These bottles would also be stored in an awesome cabinet that has virtually no light exposure...in fact, it's hard to see in there sometimes, lol

Thanks in advance!
