2 tsp lemon balm
1 tsp eyebright
1 tbsp mugwort
1 tbsp rose hips

Tea for Psychic Healing
1 tbsp China black
1 tsp elder flower
1 tsp nettle
2 tsp burdock root
2 tsp mullein
2 tsp rose hips

Tea for Meditation
1 tbsp China black or English breakfast tea
2 tsp chamomile
1 tsp rose hips
2 tsp elder flower

This one isn't really meant to be a tea but might be of interest:
Clairvoyance Brew (Cunningham)
3 parts Rose petals
1 part Cinnamon
1 part Nutmeg
1 part Bay
1 part Mugwort
Place in teapot, fill with boiling water, let steep, covered, for a few
minutes. Remove cover, sniff steam (not so that you burn your nose) for a
few moments, visualize the mystic scent opening your psychic awareness, then
lie down and prophesize. If you wish, drink a bit of the brew as well, and
let the steam continue to rise as you stretch your psychic awareness.

Dream Tea (Cunningham)
2 parts Rose petals
1 part Mugwort
1 part Peppermint
1 part Jasmine flowers
1/2 part Cinnamon
Mix, add one teaspoon to a cup. Pour boiling water over this and let steep,
covered, for a few minutes. Drink before going to bed to produce psychic
dreams.

Psychic Tea (Cunningham)
3 parts Rose petals
2 parts Yarrow
1 part Cinnamon
Brew, strain and drink a cup before or during divination and psychic work to
enhance your psychic awareness.

Yes, as a matter of fact, and it works quite well too! -SG- I Was using this
tonic when I used to work the phone lines, (which can sometimes be very
stressful due to other's rudeness, etc.)

Super Psonic Psychic Tonic:
1oz. Borage
1/2 oz. Lemongrass
1/2 oz. Spearmnt
2 Entire Oranges
1 Entire Lemon
3 cups Ginger Ale
2 cups White Grape Juice
Add herbs to 5 cups of water, bring to a slow boil simmering for about 15 to
20 minutes with a TIGHT lid. While cooling, juice oranges and lemon, peel,
seeds and pulp and add to herbal infusion. When cool, add the grape juice.
Strain the entire mixture thru double cheesecloth(three times works for
us!). Hand-squeeze the pulp/herbal mixture to insure getting every last
drop. Add the ginger ale and chill for a few hours. *[No claims or
guarantees are made by us regarding the benefits or properties of this
recipe, medicinal or otherwise. The use of herbs can be dangerous to the
uninformed. Proper research is suggested].

I found these in "Magick Potions" by Gernia Dunwich, which is an excellent
book all about magickal potions, teas, philtres, infusions and oils. My copy
is quite dog-eared!
Potion to Increase Psychic Powers
On a night when the moon is full, drink a magickal tea brewed from any of
the following herbs:
Borage
Ruled by the planet Jupiter and the element of Air, this herb works
especially well for male Witches who desire an increase in their clairvoyant
abilities.
Kava Kava
Ruled by the planet Saturn and the element of Water, the root of this plant
has been used in Polynesian magickal practices for centuries. To make an
infusion, place the root in a small pot or cauldron. Pour one cup of boiled
water over the root. Cover with a lid and let steep until cools, then place
it in the refridgerator and keep it there overnight. A word of caution: Do
not drink kava kava infusions in large amounts or for extended period of
time because kidney damage may result!
Mugwort
Ruled but the planet Venus and the element of Earth, this is a popular herb
of magick among Witches. It has been associated with psychic workings since
olden times and possesses a strong feminine vibration, making it especially
powerful for women. Mugwort infusions, sweetened with a bit of honey, are
traditionally drunk prior to scrying rituals and other forms of divination
and psychic work. Many Witches even use them for washing their crystal
balls, magick mirrors and other tools of scrying.
Yarrow
Ruled by the planet Venus and the element of Water, infusion made from the
flowers of this highly magickal plant should be drunk by the light of a
purple colored candle if you seek to awaken or strengthen your clairvoyant
powers.
Broom
Ruled by the planet Mars and the element of Air, infusions of this plant
were drunk once by those seeking to heighten their powers of extrasensory
perception. Also known as "besom" (an old Scottish name for a Witch's
broom), this plant is regarded as being mildly toxic. Therefore, internal
use of it in any way is definitely not recommended.
Dandelion
Ruled by the planet Jupiter and the element of Air, the root of the
dandelion is said to promote psychic powers when it is dried, roasted and
ground (in the same manner as coffee) and then made into a tealike brew and
drunk beneath the rays of the full moon.

A Witch's Brew for Clairvoyance
Into a cauldron of boiling water, add a handful each of shredded laurel
leaves, cinquefoil, and mugwort (three herbs that have long been associated
with the arts of divination and prophecy.) Cover with a lid, and boil for 13
minutes. Liftr the lid of the cauldron and deeply inhale the vapors of the
bubbling brew three times. Repeat this for three minutes, and if you have
allowed yourself to properly enter a psychic state, you may begin to recieve
prophetic visions, either in the form of pictures or symbols, or perhaps in
a combination of the two. When used prior to sleeping, this brew may help to
induce dreams of a prophetic nature. Write down your dreams upon waking and
study them for hidden meanings and messages. Reocurring dream symbols are
highly significant.

"Natural Beauty at Home" & "Natural Beauty for all Seasons" both are by
Janice Cox.

Cocoa Butter Eye Cream
2 tbsp petroleum jelly
2 tbsp cocoa butter
2 tbsp coconut oil

Mix all of the ingredients together in an ovenproof glass container.
Heat gently in the microwave or in a water bath (place the glass pitcher
in a pan with 1 or 2 inches of water and heat).

Pour into a clean container and cool completely; the mixture will
solidify as it cools. Use nightly around your eyes. Yields 3 oz.

(The sensitive skin under the eye needs extra care and conditioning.
Cocoa Butter has been used for years to treat age lines around the eyes
and mouth. It helps soften and protect delicate skin. This eye cream is
rich, so a small amount is all that is needed nightly)

Lanolin Lip Balm
1 tsp lanolin
1 tsp grated beeswax
1 tsp petroleum jelly

Melt the lanolin, wax, and petroleum jelly together over medium heat in
a glass measuring cup in a pan of boiling water (water bath technique).
Pour the melted mixture into a lip gloss container or clean pillbox.
Cool completely, until cool to the touch, approx. 20 minutes. Rub into
lips and enjoy. Yields 1/2 oz.

Basic Shampoo A
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup liquid soap (castille or one for sensative skin, etc.) 1/2 tsp
light vegetable oil (if you have oily hair, then omit oil)

Mix together all the ingredients. Pour the shampoo into a clean squeeze
bottle or empty shampoo bottle. Shampoo as normal and rinse well with
cool water.

Basic Shampoo B
1 cup water
1/2 cup liquid soap or inexpensive shampoo
1/2 cup glycerine
1/4 cup borax powder

Mix all the ingredients together. Pour the shampoo into a clean squeeze
bottle. Let the mixture sit overnight to thicken. Shampoo as normal
and rinse well with cool water. Yields 16 oz.

Herbal Shampoo
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp dried or 1/3 cup fresh chamomile, lavender, or rosemary 1/2 cup
Basic Shampoo (either one - it's your choice) 2 tbsp glycerine

Mix together the water and herbs and heat gently to make a strong tea.
Let the mixture steep for at least 20 minutes. Add the shampoo and
glycerine to the herbal water mixture and stir well.

Pour the shampoo into a clean squeeze bottle. Let the mixture sit
overnight to thicken. Yields 8 oz

(Chamomile makes a mild shampoo that is perfect for fine, light-colored
hair; the flowers have a mild bleaching effect. If you have dark
colored hair, use rosemary or lavender to enhance your own natural
color)

Desert Wonder Shampoo -this shampoo is great for people who live in dry
areas -
1/4 cup Basic Shampoo
1/4 cup aloe vera gel
1 tsp glycerine
1/2 tsp avocado oil

Mix all of the ingredients together. Pour the shampoo into a container
with a tight fitting lid. Shampoo as normal but leave on an extra few
minutes. Rinse with cool water.
*note* this shampoo may separate; always shake well to remix before
using.

The aloe vera plant is sometimes called the "wonder of the desert"
because of it's many uses, especially as a moisterizer for the skin and
hair.

Healing Spring Salad -- Recipe
Inspired by Meals That Heal
by Lisa Turner
Inner Traditions, 1996

After a winter of eating denser, more fatty foods, our systems crave a
gentle, nourishing cleanse that will help to rejuvenate us and clear any
digestive heaviness.

This refreshing, high-fiber salad is just the ticket. Greens and fresh
herbs inspire us with their upward-growing movement and lively flavors.
Peas, asparagus, and radishes add fiber and nourishment, and berries
with their tart-sweet flavor and antioxidant goodness shine like jewels.
These seasonal ingredients can make us feel fresher and more energized,
and the combination tastes so good!

Ingredients
For each serving:
One generous handful of any of the following, or a combination:
arugula, watercress, mustard greens, dandelion greens
1 tablespoon snipped fresh chives, dill, or mint
1/4 cup fresh raw peas or frozen, thawed
1 radish, thinly sliced
2 asparagus spears, lightly steamed, cut into 2-inch pieces
3 ripe strawberries, sliced
Lightly toss the ingredients together and place on a pretty salad plate.
Sprinkle with a splash of olive oil, a squeeze of fresh lemon, and a

As soon as you see the beech trees leafing up, gather a large sack full of the tender leaves. Wash them and put them into large mason jars and cover with 80 proof gin. Pack the jars full using lots of leaves. Let it sit in a cool, dark place for about 10 days, then strain off into a clean jar. Gather another batch of leaves and do the process again with the liquid you saved for another 10 days. Then strain and put the liquid in clean jars. It is great for colds as a tonic.

It makes beech tree gin. It is great for sipping on a cold night or for medicinal purposes by the spoon full for congestion, cough and restlessness due to fever.
