Molasses Crinkle Cookies

1 1/2 teaspoons Ground ginger
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Ground cloves
3/4 teaspoon Baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
3/4 cup Plus 3 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup Light molasses
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
2 large Eggs -- whites of
Heat oven to 350°.
Spray cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Mix flour, spices,
baking soda and salt. In a med-size bowl, whisk 3/4 cup of the sugar,
the molasses, oil, and egg whites until blended. Stir in flour
mixture. Put remaining 3 tbsp sugar in a small bowl. Roll tbspfuls of
dough in 1" balls. Roll balls in sugar. Place 2" apart on prepared
cookie sheet. Bake 12 mins. until cracked on top and firm to touch.
Remove to a wire rack to cool.
